Which porta potty should I rent?

Most Laredo rentals need the standard PolyJohn PJN3: a single unit handles roughly 50 party guests across 4 hours, or a work crew as large as 20. Pick the deluxe flushing unit with a sink for engagements and weddings, the wheelchair-accessible unit for public events, and a restroom trailer with A/C when comfort in 100°F heat matters.

In callers' own words

What do people ask before they rent a porta potty?

Most callers ask about timing and price structure, not toilets. In 19 recorded rental calls we reviewed in 2026, 12 needed a unit for a single day, 3 asked whether pricing is per day, and 8 needed it within 72 hours. Two said they had never rented a porta potty before.

Rentals by job

What do Laredo customers rent porta potties for?

Laredo rentals split between private celebrations and work sites. Parties, quinceañeras, engagements and weddings fill weekends, while warehouses along Mines Road (FM 1472), road crews on Loop 20 and gas operators in Webb County, which produces about 3 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day, need long-term units with weekly service.

How are the units cleaned in Laredo heat?

Every Jason Rental Works unit is pumped, scrubbed, sanitized and restocked at our San Bernardo Avenue yard before delivery. Every jobsite unit includes 1 cleaning visit each week. During the May–September stretch, when Laredo highs top 100°F, crews of 8 or more do better with 2 visits a week.

  1. Vacuum out the holding tank and add a fresh blue charge that holds down odor in the heat.
  2. Wash every touch point: lid, urinal lip, door pull, latch and the floor grip.
  3. Reload supplies: two paper rolls, sanitizer gel, and clean water for any sink.
  4. Re-level and tag it: we shim the base on caliche, test the latch and date the inside tag.

Haulers of portable toilet waste in Texas must register with the TCEQ as sludge transporters (TCEQ registration).

Laredo heat rule

100.8°F

Average July high in Laredo, with about 74 days a year at or above 100°F. Heat speeds up odor and water use, so from May to September we schedule service differently.

Sizing

How many toilets does a Laredo party need?

Plan 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests for a party up to 4 hours. A 100-guest backyard party needs 2 units, and 3 if alcohol is served. Add 1 hand-wash station for every 2 toilets when food is served. One caller we reviewed booked a single unit for about 100 guests, which means long lines.

Worked example: 200-guest quinceañera, 6 hours, July, with a bar

  1. 200 guests ÷ 35 per unit (4–8 hours) = 5.7 → 6 units.
  2. Alcohol: +2 (1 per 100 guests) → 8.
  3. Mostly female crowd: +2 → 10.
  4. July and over 6 hours: +1 per 150 guests → 12.
  5. Accessible: 5% of 12, minimum 1 → 1 accessible + 11 standard or deluxe; dinner served → 6 hand-wash stations.

Our house method, used by dispatch on every call. Accessible counts follow the 2010 ADA Standards §213.2. Hidalgo County's mass-gathering policy uses a similar ceiling of 50 people per toilet seat.

Event porta potty calculator

Method: Jason Rental Works house rule — 1 unit per 50 guests up to 4 hours, 1 per 35 for 4–8 hours, 1 per 25 beyond 8 hours, always rounded up; accessible count from 2010 ADA Standards §213.2 (5%, minimum 1).

Full cost

Jobsite rentals bill every 28 days with weekly service included. Your itemized quote adds only the same-day or distance fee, if any, and Laredo's 8.25% sales tax.

Placement

Where should the porta potty go on my property?

Put the unit on level, firm ground the truck can reach: caliche, gravel, packed dirt or a driveway edge. The truck needs a path about 10–11 feet wide with nothing hanging lower than 12 feet. Our crew can cart an empty unit about 25 feet, and a standard unit needs a gate at least 48 inches wide.

  • Skip the low ground. Laredo flash floods are real: one September 2025 storm brought 17 water rescues and closed 18 streets.
  • Warn us about low cable lines, dogs and electric fences. Each of these came up in calls we reviewed.
  • Ranch or pad site? Send a map pin, the gate code and any cattle guards or caliche roads.
  • Not in the street. City right-of-way placement needs a City of Laredo permit pulled by a registered contractor; we place on private property.
  • Never drag a used unit with a truck or tractor. Call us and we move it after pumping.

FAQ

Laredo porta potty questions, answered straight

Questions taken from real rental calls, answered by our dispatchers.

(956) 396-3700
How much is a porta potty rental in Laredo?
A standard porta potty for a party in Laredo typically runs $150–$225 before tax. That price covers delivery, setup, pickup, toilet paper and sanitizer for 1–5 days on site. A jobsite unit runs about $135–$199 per 28 days with weekly service. Your quote shows every line, plus Laredo's 8.25% sales tax, before you pay. Full breakdown: porta potty rental cost.
Is it priced by the day?
No. Event rentals are one flat price for 1–5 days on site, so a Saturday party costs the same whether we drop it Thursday or Friday. Jobsite rentals bill every 28 days. Three of the 19 callers we reviewed asked this exact question before booking.
Can you bring one today?
Yes, in Laredo and nearby Webb County (Zone 1) when you call (956) 396-3700 by noon, Monday through Saturday. Same-day units are standard porta potties and hand-wash stations. A same-day fee of $0–$85 may apply, and we tell you the amount before you book.
¿Hablan español?
Sí. Contestamos llamadas en español de lunes a sábado, de 7 am a 7 pm, y el chofer también le puede llamar en español antes de llegar. Vea la página en español.
Do I have to be home when you deliver?
No. Mark the spot with a cone, chair or ribbon, or text a photo to (956) 396-3700. Tell us about gates, dogs, electric fences and low cable lines. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving.
What time does the driver come?
Dispatch gives you a 4-hour window, and the driver calls or texts about 30 minutes ahead. If your event starts at 6 pm, tell us, and we route you earlier in the day. Ask for morning or afternoon and we note it on the route.
Do you deliver across the bridge to Nuevo Laredo?
No. Taking rental units into Mexico requires a Mexican customs broker and a temporary import filing, so we serve the Laredo side only. We place units at warehouses, yards and event sites near the bridges on the Texas side. See border-area sites.
How many porta potties for 100 guests?
Plan 2 standard units for 100 guests at a 4-hour party, and 3 if alcohol is served or the party runs past 4 hours. One caller we reviewed booked a single unit for about 100 guests; lines form fast at that ratio. Use the sizing calculator.
What payment do you take?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards, by phone or by a secure invoice link sent by text or email. Event dates are held once paid in full. We do not take cash, and we do not add fuel surcharges or card fees.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel 24 hours or more before delivery for a full refund. Inside 24 hours we refund everything except the delivery fee. Same-day orders already on the truck are not refundable. Date changes are free with 24 hours' notice. Read the rental terms.
